Eastern Market - Detroit

Monday, December 29, 2014

Since winter has been so mild in the Midwest this year, I went to Detroit's Eastern Market last Saturday to amble around and check out the new vendors.  I forgot my camera, but luckily the new i-phone 6 have a camera equipped with Focus Pixels, 8MP, and an f/2.2 aperture lens soo these quick snaps didn't come out utterly horrible!

I even made this GIF of the ice skaters in Campus Martius Park from some of the video I shot with the HD video camera!  Yeah, I'm excited I finally have a phone that doesn't randomly turn off or receive text messages 3 days late.  Okay, I'm done.  Now onto Eastern Market...

P.S. - Did anybody else get a shiny new i-phone 6 for Christmas?  I loved checking out this list of "10 Tips and Tricks for Your I-Phone 6 Camera" from Tech Radar.

Thanksgiving 2014

Tuesday, December 2, 2014

Each year, I'm so lucky to spend Thanksgiving with my best friend and her family.  They have a HUGE family and celebrate the holiday by gathering together Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on the SoCal coast.  We attempted to combat some of the gluttony by doing "prison workouts" on the beach in the morning, but I don't know how much our parkour fails and picnic table tricep-dips actually helped.

On Saturday, I wore this cute dress I got at Lost & Found Vintage.  If anybody knows about the origins of the dress, please leave a comment - I just rocked it at dinner because I thought the birds on the front kind of looked like turkeys.  :)

Hope you had a relaxing weekend with loved ones, too, whether you're in America or a country that doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving.  I love the first week of December - it's finally appropriate to start decorating for Christmas and annoying your friends with constant group texts about your ideas for themed parties!  (Gingerbread House decorating party, amirite?!)

V
